GED Statistics

The U.S. has a GED program that allows people who did not finish High School to gain the equivalent. If you did not complete High School, then you can still move forward with your career and even your education by taking and passing the GED test.

The GED test is taken by a large number of individuals each and every year. Many of these individuals did not finish High School due to illness, family crisis, and other personal reasons.

Here are just a few statistics that show how important the GED is to people across the nation...

One in every 20 college students has a GED.

• The average age of a person taking the GED is 24.
