High School Equivalency
The GED test can be substituted for a high school diploma in the U.S. and Canada. But is it the same as getting a high school diploma -- is it really the equivalent?

High School vs. GED
In most cases, passing the GED is the equivalent of finishing High School. But obviously, you won't have a grade point average, which is normally a requirement for college admission. However, you can still get into most colleges with your GED and ACT or SAT test scores.
