What Does the GED Cover?
The GED covers many different subject areas. Remember, this test let's you know if you could pass high school. High school covers a wide variety of subjects, so the GED must as well! You really can't just cram for the GED, but fortunately, there are topics that are tested more than others.

The GED is not really just a test, but 5 tests (they call this the testing battery). Anyway, you will have to take the Language Arts - Writing, Language Arts - Reading , Social Studies, Science, and Mathematics.
There are two parts to the Language Arts - Writing test (one part is an essay). There are also two parts to the Mathematics portion, one must be taken without a calculator, and the other you will be given a calculator for.
It is best if you take a formal test preparation class AND study on your own for the GED.
